Pogona vitticeps - The Bearded Dragon is native to Australia and can be found in deserts, shrublands, and woodlands. Their "beard" refers to the underside of the throat, which can puff out when they feel threatened, or as part of a mating ritual, or to help with heat management. These friendly lizards are known to make great pets.
